What is This Girl Can Week?

This Girl Can Week is all about inspiring women to get active – however, wherever and whenever they choose, without being judged.

This Girl Can Victoria advocates for all women – cis, trans, non-binary and gender diverse – to get active in supportive and welcoming environments.

This Girl Can Week is running from 11 to 17 November. To celebrate, we’re offering a range of free activities across Active Melbourne for those who identify as a woman or girl.

Whether you enjoy playing sport or simply want to get more active, there’s something to suit everyone. Work up a sweat at our fitness sessions, take a swing at our golf day, or learn a new skill at our skate clinics.

Come along solo, or grab a friend to come with you. All ages and abilities are welcome to get involved, take the plunge and try something new. You may just find a new activity that you enjoy!

Women's Only Circuit Session

Free access to each cycle class across the regular timetable of all gender classes. There are 3 varieties of classes available across the week with 3 spaces available for This Girl Can participants in each class - Cycle Express, RPM Express & RPM.

This is a women’s only swimming program designed for women and girls from culturally and linguistically diverse communities to enjoy the pool in a safe and inclusive environment. Swim at your own leisure.

Additionally, a swimming instructor will be available to support your learning of swimming skills & water safety. All covered by the cost of entry!

No need to book - just show up
Cost: Free for members and $5.20 for non-members (payable upon entry)

Royal Park Golf Course

Golf Day with Women's Only Tee times

Cost $20.00 (50% will be donated to YMCA's Open Doors).
This will be a morning with only female-identifying and non-binary players on the course.

Always wanted to give golf a go but haven't had the confidence to book a tee time? Well here's your chance!
Grab a (girl)friend to share the experience with you!

You will need to secure a ticket under Tickets (either 9-hole round of golf, Short course (both $20), or Free beginners clinic (2 time slots)) and then select a Tee Time to participate.
